With over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit and government sectors, Linda Maisch is a dynamic leader and passionate advocate for community-driven initiatives. It's that passion that fuels The LMD Group!
Linda has spent the majority of her career working with a wide variety of nonprofit and government organizations ranging in size from fewer than 10 employees to greater than 300. Most notably, she served as the Vice President of Community Engagement at Science Museum Oklahoma, where she oversaw fund development, marketing, membership, special events and guest relations. During her tenure, the museum dramatically increased its membership, saw the opening of its 20,000 square foot children's exhibit museum, grew its special events revenue and launched what became a successful campaign for a new planetarium.
Linda also had the privilege of being a member of the leadership team that established the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority. Joning the organization within months of it being established, Linda had a front row seat as this new state agency was charged with regulating the newly legal medical marijuana industry in an ever-changing landscape. As Chief Communications Officer, Linda was responsible for communicating changing rules across multiple constituencies while also managing the agency’s media relations. Tapping into years of leadership in cultivating exemplary customer experiences, Linda was also responsible for the agency’s call center, which responded to over 5,000 calls monthly. Customer journey mapping was employed to improve communications strategies and reduce negative call volume.
As the CEO of Calm Waters, Linda led with a deep commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by death, divorce or other significant loss. As part of that commitment, she oversaw the development of a new strategic plan and helped secure a $180,000+ increase in income to put that plan into action. Linda's resume includes leadership positions at the Girl Scouts, where she launched the local Juliette Low Society, World Neighbors and Easter Seals.
The LMD Group marks Linda's return to full-time management consulting. She ran a successful private practice providing strategic management services to nonprofit, corporate, and tribal clients. Over the years, Linda has had the unique privilege of working with high-profile personalities, including Hollywood actors, sports stars, and astronauts—and organizations with diverse missions. These experiences have further enriched her ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and drive meaningful results. In fact, one tribal chief commented Linda "walked well in many worlds."
A resident of Edmond, Oklahoma, Linda lives with her husband, Don, and their grand-dog, Shiva.
